Simplifying fuel management
Smarter fleet EV charging
Our electric charging cards can help cover your business for public and home charging. Enjoy the UK’s largest public charging network and smart home EV reimbursement with a Rightcharge card, or choose from over 12,000 stations with a BP Fuel & Charge card. For mixed-fuel fleets, you can also use a Shell charging card for combined savings. No matter what you’re looking for, we’ll help you find the right deal.
Our EV fuel cards and charging solutions give you all the benefits of a standard fuel card for your electric vehicles. That means easy payments for drivers, with all fuel spend (whether for fuel or EV charging) added to a single, simple bill. It’s perfect for businesses transitioning to electric vehicles.
Sole traders can use an EV fuel card to save at thousands of charging points around the country, while business drivers and fleet managers can simplify their expenses, removing the need for collecting receipts and cutting down on disputes over fuel costs. With petrol and diesel bans on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to future-proof your fleet.

What is an EV charge card?
An EV charge card, or electric charging card, is an easy way to pay for public charging without cash, apps, or credit card fees. Simply find a compatible EV charger, connect the vehicle and tap the card against the RFID reader to start and stop the charging session.
Our range of EV charge cards gives you access to the UK’s largest network of public EV chargers (including ultra-rapid chargers), so drivers can charge wherever their route takes them, without the need for detours.
For businesses, you’ll have all your fuel and EV charging spend consolidated into a single, simple invoice that’s paid via Direct Debit, so you can say ‘goodbye’ to individual driver receipts and expenses.
How does an EV fuel card work?
Using our electric vehicle charging cards is easy! Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of the payment process:
Start your fuelling session by tapping your EV charge card at a valid charging location.
Recharge your vehicle (your usage will be recorded in your fleet account).
Your fleet manager will receive an invoice for your vehicle’s refuelling costs.
This invoice will be paid via Direct Debit, so you won’t need to keep track of your receipt.
What is RFID technology?
Our EV charge cards feature RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, giving you contactless payment across our charging network. Your card is directly connected to an account that tracks your charging sessions, consolidating all your information in one place. Even if you can’t connect to your mobile network, our RFID cards will keep track of your payments, so you don’t have to worry about missing information on your invoice.

Yes! The BP Fuel & Charge card lets you pay for petrol, diesel, and EV charging with one card. You can fuel at BP and partner stations, or tap your card at one of 12,000+ EV charge points, no extra apps required.
Most major networks allow you to use your EV fuel card for rapid and ultra-rapid charging, so you can enjoy a seamless experience regardless of what EV charger you choose to use. Make sure to check your chosen card’s details, as some options are only valid on select chargers.
If you lose an electric vehicle charging card, deactivate it as soon as possible through your network’s website or mobile app. You can then contact the provider for a replacement, which may require extra payment. While you wait for your new EV charge card, you can pay using your app or recharge your vehicle with a public charger.
Your EV charging payments will be made each month via Direct Debit from your business’s linked bank account. An annual fee is usually charged for continued use of your chosen network’s services, and they can charge late payment fees if your business’s bank account doesn’t have enough money to cover fuel costs.
